The Eclectic Eye: Selections From The Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation
Frederick R. Weisman collected contemporary art that was visually stimulating and intellectually challenging. This exhibition highlights works from the 1960s to the present, and offers a dynamic cross section of the culture of our time. One gallery is devoted to Ed Ruscha. It celebrates his major exhibition at this summer's Venice Biennial and features seven works, including his panoramic landscapes of the 1980s. Other artists on view are Christo, Keith Haring, Gilbert & George, Nam June Paik, James Rosenquist, and Andy Warhol. This exhibition marks the publication of The Eclectic Eye: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, a 190-page color catalog featuring 85 artists from the Weisman collection.
