Contemporary Art From The Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation

This special selection of contemporary art from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation features works never before seen at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University. Some of the internationally renowned artists on view include Christo, Jim Dine, Joe Goode, Red Grooms, David Hockney, Edward Ruscha and Frank Stella. Frederick R. Weisman, the noted Los Angeles collector, acquired these works because they captured the vitality of the postwar art scene. This exhibition celebrates the inauguration of Andrew K. Benton as Seventh President of Pepperdine University on September 23. Works will be on view in the museum's Gregg G. Juarez Gallery, West Gallery and Mezzanine Gallery, in the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art. Funding is provided by the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation.
